About the Founder of Emerging Christians & Smith Therapy/Consulting
Calvin Smith, MA, LPC has studied across the US at premier programs to perfect his skill in delivering practical and applicable therapy and training that fits your needs.Calvin Smith has trained across four disciplines. These disciplines include: Christian Counseling, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Educational Leadership and Administration, and Rehabilitation Psychology. As a counselor, family/divorce mediator, with DUI assessment training and disability management expertise, Calvin practices with individuals, couples, children/youth, and Employee Assistance Programs.
One of the premier Universities Calvin Smith prepared at was Oral Roberts University. He obtained the Master of Arts in Christian Counseling which was designed to prepare students for professional licensure in qualifying them for the specialized ministries of clinical mental health counseling, and marriage, couple, and family counseling, in the contexts of clinical settings, the local church, or church-related agencies. The program enables students to thoughtfully integrate and ethically implement the most effective models and theories of counseling with a coherent Biblical/theological perspective and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit’s activity. Since helping hurting people is an essential element of the Gospel, this program equips students to respond therapeutically to the opportunities of global diversity in facilitating healing and wholeness in every area of life.
Activities and Societies: Community Development, Civil Service Support, Family Advocate.
Calvin wants you to have access to therapy and training that will empower you with practical approaches to healthy life management when you are facing challenges.. Origins of Emerging Christians |
Calvin established Emerging Christians in 2016 and continues to pursue serving the people of the communities by collaborating with ministries, programs, and agencies geared towards helping people resolve spiritual, mental, emotional and relational challenges.
