About Us |
Emerging Christians was created by Calvin L Smith. Calvin is an ordained and registered Christian Counselor/Minister in the State of Oklahoma. He also is a licensed professional counselor. Receiving extensive training from multiple premier colleges across the nation, he also holds a Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Tulsa and a Masters in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He attended Oral Roberts University graduating with a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling. Calvin maintains a private practice as a Christian counselor and does online community outreach.

Specialized Training |
Calvin Smith, prepared at Oral Roberts University. He obtained the Master of Arts in Christian Counseling which was designed to prepare students for professional licensure in qualifying them for the specialized ministries of clinical mental health counseling, and marriage, couple, and family counseling, in the contexts of clinical settings, the local church, or church-related agencies. The program enables students to thoughtfully integrate and ethically implement the most effective models and theories of counseling with a coherent Biblical/theological perspective and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit’s activity. Since helping hurting people is an essential element of the Gospel, this program equips students to respond therapeutically to the opportunities of global diversity in facilitating healing and wholeness in every area of life.
