Decreeing versus Prophesying:
There is more than one kind of Spiritual Action that can change the environment we live/work within. One Action is to Decree another is to Prophesy.
Defining a Decree Biblically.
Decrees issued by rulers, written commands having the effect of law, and the metaphor of God as King of the world provide the imagery behind the Bible's references to God's "decrees."
Terms translated "decree" in Hebrew and/or Aramaic include dat [t'D] (a loanword from Persian) used in Daniel, Ezra, and Esther for decrees of God and human (especially Persian) monarchs, taam [[;f] for the orders of high officials including kings, hoq/huqqaa [q,qej] used especially of God's laws, esar [r's\a] (lit. "something binding"), and gezeraa [h'rzG] ("something decided"); and in Greek dogma [dovgma] ("a [public] decree, decision"). The idea of "decree" may be present even where a specific technical term for "decree" does not occur.
God and Human Decrees. Even in decrees by human monarchs God shows his own decrees or purposes to be sovereign.
In Exodus 7-14 God shows his decrees to be sovereign over Pharaoh's by "hardening" Pharaoh's heart. This "hardening" involves the ...
creation of an irrational mind-set. Despite the miraculous plagues, Pharaoh refuses to do the reasonable thing (decreeing Israel's release from bondage), thereby bringing further disaster on himself and his land. In the early stages of the story Pharaoh appears to be a free agent, hardening his own heart (Exod 8:15 ), but as the story develops God is increasingly portrayed as the direct cause of Pharaoh's stupidity. Pharaoh is ultimately reduced to a mere puppet of Yahweh ( Exodus 14:4 Exodus 14:8 ). Joel M Sprinkle.
[Decreeing is a different type of Spritual action.]
There are things you can decree by faith still looking to God as you stand in spiritual authority to change a situation.
God has given the beiever in Christ the power to change the world around them through the agreement with his word. Here are some things that may benefit you in your walk with Christ as it relates to decreeing a thing from context of spritual authority given to those who believe in Christ Jesus accepting his atonement for their sins and receiving their place in God's kingdom as a child of God.
- Proverbs 8:15 By me kings H4428 reign H4427, and princes H7336 decree H2710 justice. H6664 (the alpha numerics are taken from Strong's concordance for further reference to the greek and hebrew translation of these words including the word decree).
Revelation 1:5-6King James Version (KJV)
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
The Bible says "If you have faith as a grain of a mustard seed and you say unto this mountain be removed and cast into the sea, it shall be done. Below is the scripture reference.
[Scripture Reference ]
Matthew 17:18-20King James Version (KJV)
18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Luke 10:19King James Version (KJV)
19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Praise God YOU have the spiritual power and authority through Christ to decree a thing.
There are also things that you recieve an unction directly from the Holy Spirit to speak regarding a present situation or actions to be taken. There are many different ways in which the Lord can operate prophetically. I will not discuss this here. But I will provide a working definition for this discussion.

1 John 2:20King James Version (KJV)
20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
The words you speak shape the experiences you have in the world in which you live. Your world is governed by the thoughts, actions, and words you speak releasing the power of God in your life or containing you from it. Today is an invitation to believe Christ and find the "life more abundantly" that he has promised to you. Amen.

2 A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.
3 He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.
Have a great week.
