Empowering You The expression of a lifestyle change begins with an encounter that directly transforms our way of engaging life experiences. Unlike other things an encounter with God is a transformation process that does not merely deter you like an aversion or a manipulation might. God actually imparts to you abilities that empower you to engage life with a whole different set of competencies. Like other things, our confidence in God influences how we think, the decisions we make, and how we act in life. This said, You discover you have gifts after you truly believe in the one who has given them to you. For example, an employer may hire a person to do a management job, but the person only becomes a true manager after they have accepted their role as manager and begun to operate in the duties of a manager. The Bible tells us that God lead captivity captive and gave gifts unto men. (Ephesians 4:8) You discover the range of your gifts when you believe that ... you have them and you have the courage to use them. The Bible encourages us to stir up the gifts of God that were imparted to us by the laying on of hands. (2 Timothy 1:6) Some people may think that they have gifts for a period of time maybe and then they are gone. But God says that the gifts and callings of God are without repentance. (Romans 11:29) From your faith stems revelation about who you are and how his gifts/calling operate within you. There comes a time and place when you are ready to move forward that you stop allowing the discomfort of unfamiliarity support your hesitations about walking in the confidence that God is present in your life to empower you to be an expression of his grace, mercy, and reconciliation. Your place in the kingdom has already been granted. (Ephesians 2:6) The salvation message of Christ is one that includes us as believers to be ministers of his message of redemption and hope. Moving yourself into new environments, you discover new empowerment, with new possibilities. You spring forward discovering the changes in you were more than a mental disposition or perspective. Your encounter with God was not a figment of your imagination. Be all that you can be by truly yielding to him that has made you what you are. Here are some scripture versus that clarify who that person is: You are...
You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Now go out and be who you are. God will confirm his word with signs and wonders following the revelation of who you are in Christ Jesus.
