![]() Why is the first thought seemingly always rejection? It's funny how when you see something that has the word "God" in it how a person can automatically feel like they don't measure up. They instantly span through all the really mean or less than honorable stuff they did in their lives and distance themselves from anything that would remotely remind them of the life choices they were not proud of. They reject the notion that answers, resolution, peace could be found with God before they attempting to see the benefits of trying. Human is human. Everybody makes mistakes and if you've lived long enough you'll realize that we need a savior for the very reasons that try to discourage us from seeking him. On some occasions I think that we can be so hard on ourselves that we don't really embrace the fact that we deserve the best just as much as anyone else does. Whether self punishment, or fatalistic thinking...I think that the message God makes to us in Christ's salvation message is
