There are many realizations I have had since my marriage began. The most blatent is that marriage is more than a piece of paper or an ideal that can perpetuate itself once you agree to be wed. It takes focused effort to understand each other and learn how to support one another beyond that point of agreement.

In that same instance, marriage is an expression of love, more than a feeling, it's a consistent series of actions that protect the heart of your spouse, preserve the love that you have for each other, and prosper you both as one by looking out for the good of each other.

Marriage, itself, is an enhancement altering one's lifestyle in such a way that no other relationship as a single person can compare. It is a school of learning where the classes don't begin until you say "I do.". Both rewarding and challenging, marriage is a wonder that has rendered me humbled by the expanse ...
of it and excited to discover it's next lessons.

As my journey of marriage continues and my discoveries are made about what it takes to have a healthy marriage, I give thanks often. Thank you Lord for my companion and friend, love and confidant whose smile can crack that grey of my stormiest day. The treasures she brings far outweigh the challenges of any momentary situation. The fight to nurture, support, love, relate, and uphold truth, virtue, or character through Christ doesn't start out in the world first, it starts at home then works it's way outward. Thank you Lord for my loving spouse. I will be found pleasing in his sight concerning the gift of her that he has brought me. Besides that... she makes it easy to stay up late and write her a love story that she can reread over and over again on Facebook and beyond (but that's another story).

What is your love story with your spouse? I encourage you to write one..
