Emerging Christians

God wants you to prosper all the way around. This includes your relationships.

This said, as a Christian I am a strong believer in God's direction for relationships to be of heterosexual origin. I state this by these scriptures that reference this through biblical context.(Leviticus 18:22) "Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin." (NLT) I do not mean to say this to stir self hatred, or shame for one's own experiences as I think there is already enough shame and doubt around to dump more on a person is just unnecessary. That is not what this segment is about. Although this may be a hard "pill" to swallow for some, I believe that hearing the truth can set a person free from the bondage of psychosocialenvironmental pressures that can subjugate a person to surrender perspectives towards the paths of least resistance. Simply stated, Christ died so that the person struggling with homosexual tendencies can also be reunited and reconciled in the faith of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to God. I found it peculiar that when I chose the name for this website I found another web-site completely dedicated to homosexual endorsement within the Christian faith...this I find in error as this is not what I have known, read, and been taught through biblical doctrine and practice. Does that mean God rejects the homosexual?? No. I dare not say that the person who struggles with homosexuality is rejected by God. However, I do believe that God calls them to live free from this practice as he calls us to live free from all other sinful practices... Looking to Jesus, who is the author and the finisher of our faith. Be encouraged, and may your soul find freedom in Christ. Scripture References: Leviticus 18:22 "Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin." (NLT) 1 Timothy 1:8-10 Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine ... (ESV) If this article is speaking to you...take comfort knowing this... Hebrews 12:1-3King James Version (KJV) 12 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. If you would like to explore your faith and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and how your life can growth through this faith. You are not without options.
